Thanksgiving trip

We went on a Thanksgiving dinner cruise. The staff was amazing. we were greeted with champagne once we boarded. The cruise went out on the water with great views. they did serve the normal Thanksgiving meal ( Turkey and stuffing) Was really good. Our waitress was very nice and attentive . It was a nice way to spend thanksgiving . Highly recommend this !
Evening cruise was beautiful - Day cruise if you want to see the harbor!

We selected the dinner cruise of San Diego harbor. The evening city lights were beautiful, but definitely dress for the weather (in December). The crew was very professional, food was average with decent portions plus dessert. The bar had various alcohol based on what was already on the boat from previous events/sailings.
I would have loved to take this same harbor cruise during the day so we could have actually seen more of the busy San Diego harbor. Next time in San Diego, we’ll definitely do a day cruise with Flagship!
If you are ok with just ok, then this is for you.

This review is based on the experience my wife and I had on the New Years Eve Dinner cruise. The cost for both of us was just under $600. We added a window seat and drink package.

Positives - the boat was nice, window table was great, the crew was friendly and everything went as planned.

Negatives - the 5 course meal is very basic. They try for elevated dishes but they taste like Sizzler. Nothing wrong with Sizzler but I expected a way better quality for the price. Trouble communicating with some of the staff due to lack of English. The mixed cocktails were horrible. By far the worst part. Cheap dive bars by the beach make better drinks. Beer and wine was fine. DJ is a wedding style Dj with wedding style 90's songs. Fun but basic.

Overall I would say this. If you are looking for anything remotely highend, this is not it. If you are looking for a basic fun boat dinner, this will do. Looking back, I would have rather spent the $600 at a nice restaurant.
Beautiful view but bad dinner service

We enjoyed the beautiful view of the San Diego skyline and the holiday boat parade.
However, there were definitely problems with the service. When we boarded the boat, we were greeted with a glass of champagne and were told they were out of apple cider for the two children that were part of our party. Then we were told by the server that our main course was surf and turf and she took our orders for how to cook the steak. We were not served steak, but some sort of roast beef that was all cooked the same. We ordered cocktails as part of our prepaid drink package and the drinks were not what we ordered. Our dinner was served after a long wait, but the kids' meals did not come out for another half an hour. We asked for more bread but were told they ran out. The excuse for all this was that there was a very large party onboard, and that's why they were running out of food and drinks and why it took so long to be served. It seemed as if the staff was prioritizing the large party over individual reservations. Now these dinners all require reservations, so it was known ahead of time how many dinners needed to be prepared. Our server was good but had to spend most of her time apologizing for what went wrong. Will try another cruise line next year.
