Shaun has developed a great network to keep him informed, and he does his homework to put you in the best possible location to find fish. The 3 of us limited out on both yellowtail and dorado. What an incredible day of fishing. Captain and crew are very professional and willing to adjust to the desires of the client. I highly recommend the Pelican Sportfishing. I know I will be going again

Stop reading reviews right now and book Pelican Sportfishing! On the morning of the trip, Captain Shaun had an unfortunate family emergency. He was excellent in communicating with us that Captain Bobby would be taking us out. Captain Bobby was the simply the best fishing guide to ever take us out. He was knowledgeable and taught us so much about the Coronado Islands and the fish we were catching. He was extremely accommodating and patient as he put us on fish all day. My arm hurt that night from reeling in so many fish. Despite the family emergency, Captain Shaun continued to check on us throughout day and after the trip. It turned out to be a bucket list experience with my dad that I will never forget. The next time I am San Diego, I will book with either of these guys without a doubt (and you should too). And no, I wasn’t paid for this review!

Great fishing trip with family and friends. We all landed yellow tail and more. Shaun is a great captain and makes sure everyone had a great time. I would recommend for anyone into fishing.

I was looking to get a group together a record some footage for a YouTube channel I created to share my adventures, Shaun was more than accommodating.

His boat had enough space to venture up and down inside and out. We were able to cast at fish boiling on the surface and also let line out with live bait, and we had plenty! His boat did have a bathroom which was a nice feature, and he even let us come up top which gave us a better view.

The islands provided rockfish for tacos and we also landed a few yellowtail which was a nice surprise. Shaun had a sense of direction and customer service they went above and beyond. We are definitely looking forward to the next adventure which we already have booked! Thank you Shaun!
